Mrs. Johnnilyn Brady Adams, age 78 of Newnan, formerly of Griffin, Georgia, and of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, wife of the late William Hexter Adams, Sr. of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Newnan, Georgia.

Born March 26, 1941, in Montgomery, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Brady and Beatrice Dutton Brady.

Mrs. Adams was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia, where she had many friends and enjoyed praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the T. E. L. Sunday School class. She and her late husband, Bill, were the owner/operators of Bear Paw Army/Navy Store for 23 years before retiring. She was also a member of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughters Regina Sealy (Barry) of Ralph, Alabama, Lynn Chapman (Keith) of Newnan, Georgia, sons Brian Adams and Christopher Adams of Griffin, and stepson William Adams, Jr. (Vicki) of Milner. Mrs. Adams had five grandchildren, Dustin Sealy (Kim) of Ralph, Alabama, Chase Sealy (Meghan) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Kaitlyn Chapman, Hannah Katherine Chapman, and Sarah Chapman, all of Newnan, Georgia. She had three great-grandchildren, Kalin Sealy, Kensie Grace Sealy, and Kayden Sealy of Ralph, Alabama. Mrs. Adams is also survived by her brother, Thomas Franklin “Bo” Brady (Sarah) of McCalla, Alabama.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas S. “Nick” Brady of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Visitation for Mrs. Adams will be on Thursday, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Mike Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
