Joyce Redding Woods Jones

Mrs. Joyce Redding Woods Jones, aged 76, passed away on 9th July 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Mrs. Jones was born in Griffin, Georgia on November 1, 1942. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Sara Redding and husbands, Ralph Leigh Woods and Dr. Alexander Pershing Jones. Mrs. Jones managed a successful physician’s office to then explore her entrepreneurial spirit by opening her antique shop, Sara’s Attic as well as restaurants, Jasmine Tearoom and Jasmine at Dovedown.

Survivors include her children, Mary Beth Woods Brinson and husband Ashley, Leigh Ann Woods Story and husband Frank and Sara Woods Jones and husband Keith; grandchildren, Andrew Brinson and Sarah (Brinson) Hartley, Jesse Story, Meghan Story and Jack Story, and Alec Jones, Anna Jones and Will Jones; brother, Ron Redding and wife Cathy and their sons, Ron and John Redding.

Visitation for Joyce Redding Woods Jones will be on Thursday, 11th July 2019 from 11:30am to 1pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the chapel. Dr. Mark Sellers will officiate.
