KATHERINE J. SHORT

Mrs. Katherine Jeanette Short, age 91 of Griffin passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Jeanette was born on June 19, 1930 in Fayetteville, Georgia. Her parents Andrew and Gertrude Parrott Robinson; son, Kenneth Short; grandson, Reggie Edwards; sister and brother in law, Betty and Larry Smith; brothers, Sherman Robinson and Reginald Robinson; sister in law Rosetta Short, all preceded her in death. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church for 65 years. Katherine worked for Crompton Highland Mills for 27 years and retired from Big Lots as the Customer Service Manager.
She is survived by her children, Jan and husband Jerry Hunt; Tammy Short; daughter in law, Kim Wise Short; grandchildren, Chris Edwards, Todd and Kristy Edwards, Kevin and Gina Hunt, Rusty and Kelly Hunt, Russ and Rebecca Wood; 14 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery with Reverend Tim Jones officiating.
