Mrs. Kittie Towns Fields age 75, of Griffin passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Westbury Medical Care and Rehab in Jackson, Georgia.
Mrs. Fields was born on December 4, 1942 in Spalding County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Pearl Towns; her husband Norman Edward Fields. She worked for the Spalding County Court System serving as a Bailiff. She was a beloved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and serving others; she was a lifelong member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Michael Fields, Craig (Natalie) Fields, Tina (Rick) Proenza; grandchildren, Bailey Fields, Tanner and Spencer Fields, Zachary and Riley Thompson, Maya Proenza; sisters, Marilyn (Tom) Clark, Linda (Dwayne) Gilbert, Cherrie (Wayne) Stinchcomb; nieces, Joylynn Fields, Julie (Bob) Rice, nephew, Chris Clark; several cousins and extended family members.
A visitation for Mrs. Kittie Towns Fields will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Mrs. Fields will also lie in state at New Salem Baptist Church in Griffin on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 3 pm until the time of service at 4 pm. Pastor Mike Barnes will officiate. Interment will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
