Kristie Lee Brooking

Kristie Lee Herring Brooking, age 50, of Sharpsburg passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Kristie was born in Valdosta, Georgia on July 13, 1971. She was a 1989 graduate of East Coweta High School, where she was in the chorus and played in the band. After graduation, she attended and graduated from LaGrange College with a BS in Business. While in college, she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Kristie was a former consultant at Premier Designs. Currently, Kristie was employed by Traditions as a Showroom Designer of Tile and Stone and was a consultant for Park Lane Jewelry. She was a member of Brooks Assembly.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Brooking; sons, Lanier, Lee, and Landon; her parents, Billy and Jeanette Herring of Newnan; sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and John Purdon of Newnan; brother, Bret Herring of Ft. Walton Beach; mother-in-law, Brenda Hembree and husband, Phillip, of Senoia; father-in-law, Harvey Brooking and wife, Nancy, of Senoia; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Kristie will be Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Brooks Assembly, 7401 Newnan Road, Brooks, GA 30205. Followed by a graveside service in the church cemetery. Reverend Craig Rivers and Reverend Roger Robinson will officiate.
