Larry Lamar Lyon, age 69, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 9, 1951.

He is preceded in death by his father, Louie “Pappa” Lyon, mother, Lillian Elizabeth Maloy Lyon, brother, Ronnie Lyon, brother in law Brian Hall, and his faithful dog and hunting partner, Muggins. Mr. Lyon was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served 3yrs in the Vietnam War. He was respected in the biker community as a Brother and friend, and a long time and retired member of WWMC- the WindWalkers Motorcycle Club. Larry was the maker of “Lyon's Shines” which were enjoyed by many. Larry also was an avid hunter/fisherman who created a small, private hunting group, “Long Trang” exclusively for like-minded, extreme hunters, such as himself.

He is survived by his wife, Galadriel **GABBY** McCandless Lyon; children, Bobbie Lyon Martin, Ronnie Lyon and April daughter in law, Meghan Osborne, Timothy McCandless II; grandchildren, Dustin Lyon, Zach Lyon, Liz “Squirrel” Lyon, Eddie “Button” Lyon, William Teal, Jesse Teal, Marsha Osborne, Reyson Osborne III, Selenite Osborne; great-grandchildren, Athena Teal, Rhea Teal; sisters, Delores Jackson, Bobbie Riley, Glenda Lyon Whitehead, brother in law Tommy Whitehead; brother Jack Lyon and sister in law Kay Lyon; and many loved neices/nephews. One cannot forget loving pet sidekicks Georgíe, Louie, Funky, Nosey, and Snapper.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions for funeral expenses or to make a donation to VVA.org in remembrance of Marine LC Larry Lamar Lyon.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
