Lucy Mae Hollis

Mrs. Lucy Hollis, age, 83 of Concord, Georgia passed away on January 19, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Lucy Hollis was born February 7, 1939 in White Plains, Georgia in Greene County to the late Leroy and Susie Mae Kimbrough. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers Royston and Donnell, and sister, Jerrydine Whitaker.

Mrs. Hollis was delighted to be a wife, mother, and homemaker. She thoroughly enjoyed studying God’s word the Bible and sharing Bible truths with others. She symbolized her dedication in water Baptism on January 16, 1971. In earlier years, she enjoyed cooking, sewing, making jelly and freezing fruits and vegetables. She looked forward to traveling and although she could not drive, she could get you to just about anywhere in the U.S. with a map. She appreciated having privacy.

Mrs. Hollis is survived by her husband Curtis Hollis Jr; daughter, Sheryl Hollis; son, Curtis Hollis III; sisters, Nell Lester, Evelyn Bowman, Bernice Stitt, Betty Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

There will be a public memorial service at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 100 County Line Road Griffin, Ga. 30224.  Brother Donald Greene will officiate.
