Mrs. Mable L. Deraney, age 83, formerly of Barnesville, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Gracemont Assisted Living in Cumming, GA.
Mrs. Deraney was born in Smithfield, NC on December 26, 1930. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lewis; husband of 53 years, Joseph Andrew Deraney, Sr.; sons, Richard M. Deraney, Sr., Jim M. Deraney; grandson, Richard M. Deraney, Jr. Mrs. Deraney was co-owner/operator with her late husband of Deraney’s Department Store in Barnesville, GA for 41 years.  
Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Dr. Stephen A. and Anita Deraney, Joseph A. and Tammy Deraney, Robert C. Deraney; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Mable L. Deraney will be on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Peter The Rock Catholic Church in The Rock, GA. Father Liem Nguyen will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnesville, GA.
