Marion Elizabeth Watkins

Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Watkins, age 83 of Griffin passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Griffin, Georgia on December 28, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Thomas Young and Mary Elizabeth Mangham Young; daughter Melodie Watkins; brothers Leroy Young, JT Young and Charles Harper; sisters Patsy Whiten, Shirley Parker, Daisy Harper and Gloria Norris. She was a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Watkins worked as an Inspector at Gaubert Industries.

Mrs. Watkins is survived by her husband Earnest Watkins; children Sandra (Jeff) Hampton, Johnny Watkins and Christy (Ben) Goodman; grandchildren Matthew (Kristine)Hampton, Bethany Goodman and Grace Goodman; great grandchildren Brettley Hampton; sisters Tiny Almond and Brenda Johnson along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Watkins will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Rudy Mangham will officiate. Interment will be in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
