Marjorie Gentry Turner Dutton, age 90 of Griffin passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Dutton was born in Ducktown, Tennessee on January 29, 1932. She is preceded in death by her parents William Hershel Gentry and Ruth Privett Gentry Mullins; first husband, Joseph Harold Turner, and second husband, Ziddie Dutton. She was a member of Thomas Roads Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.
Survivors include children, Patricia Ann and Steve Manning of Griffin, Eugene and Rosie Turner of Jackson, Kathie Elaine and Dale Drummond of Hampton, Hershel Allen and Wanda Turner of Griffin, Harold Daniel Turner of Thomaston; 17 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Jo Murray; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Dutton will be Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury, officiated by Reverend James Turner. Interment will follow in Turner Family Cemetery in Clayton County.
