Marquelious Antonio Thomas

Marquelious Antonio Thomas age 22 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Eternal Hope Healthcare.

Marquelious was born April 30, 1997 in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Bennie Owens. Marquelious was a graduate of Spalding High school in 2018. He was part of the program FOCUS, which stands for Families of Children Under Stress, based out of Atlanta. He was also part of the program Parent to Parent, which supports Georgia families and individuals impacted by disabilities of special health care needs. Marquelious was also a member of the Baseball team that partnered with Kiwanis Special Olympics.

Marquelious Thomas is survived by his parents Maurice and Gwendolyn Thomas; brother Martez Thomas; sister Makaylee Thomas; Paternal grandparents Addie Thomas and Troy Thomas; and maternal grandmother Virdell Owens.

A visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place Friday, January 31, 2020 at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. 2112 Rex Rd, Morrow, GA 30260. Bishop Dennis Caldwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
