Dear Martha and Glen:

I was distressed to hear of your mother's death last night from Carla. I know your are stunned as well as deeply saddened. Louise was a great lady and deserving of a more meaningful death.

I am also distressed that I will be unable to attend the service tomorrow. Kitty and I are now living full time in Highlands, NC, so the round trip for me would be 340 miles. I have a pinched nerve in my back and am unable to drive that distance without some intervening rest. However, I will be with you in spirit and would like to make a contribution to Fincher or some other place that was meaningful in Louise's life.

I regret also that we are so seldom in touch. Please know that my thoughts and the thoughts of my family are with you and that we hope to see you in the future..

We also hope for a better New Year for you and your families.

Barrett, Kitty, Allyson and Katie and families.

Mrs. Louise was without a doubt one of the best neighbors ever and we greatly enjoyed getting to know her over the past several years. She was a leader in our church and a great role model for our little girls. She will be greatly missed by so very many people but we are happy in knowing that she is celebrating with her husband and loved ones in heaven!
