Martha B. Phillips, age 72, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Martha was born in College Park, Georgia on May 11, 1945. She is preceded in death by parents, Hugh W. Brinkley and Evelyn Shirley Newton; husband, David H. Phillips; sisters, Barbara Hope and Virginia Wilson. Martha worked for Phillips Material Company alongside her husband. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Phillips Welch and husband James; brother, Jim Brinkley and wife Alice; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Martha B. Phillips will be Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12 pm until 1 pm. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Jim Brinkley, Reverend James Kennedy, and Reverend John Nance will officiate.
