I've had the honor of spending a great deal of time with Mary over the last three weeks at Brightmoor while both of our mothers have been there. We shared so many memories from the past. Mary was one of the finest people I've ever known. She has been such a beacon of hope and light for so many children in this community. Mary often spoke of the love she had for her own children and the lives of many others. When I taught all of you children, she was one of my favorite parents at Crescent. I will never forget the laughter and fun we've had during the last three weeks. Her love for family and friends was like "magic" to her. She was full of life, laughter, love, and God. Her faith defined who she was as a child of God. Heaven, most certainly... has gained a wonderful angel to walk among us all. Let us hope that we strive to be a spiritual warrior for God like Mary was. May the many memories of her life dwell in our hearts forever. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Your family will always have a special place in my heart. May God bless you and heal your broken heart by knowing that Mary is home with her Lord and savior..

The heart that your mother had for others is a rare gift to the many people who had the privilege to know her and be blessed by her. There’s a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. You must continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of Precious Mother!
