Matthew Alan Jameson

Mr. Matthew Alan Jameson, age 61 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.

Mr. Jameson was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 8, 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Edgar and Joyce Laverne Jameson. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a loving father, and a great man, who loved music. He co-founded the Griffin Academy of Music and for years selflessly volunteered his time and strength to help the Griffin Academy of Music and its students. Mr. Jameson was an avid car enthusiast. Above all he was devoted and lived for his daughter.

Survivors include, his daughter, Catherine Ann Jameson; brother, Gary Ernest Jameson and wife Melinda of Acworth, Georgia; sister, Rhonda Diane Gunselman and husband Mark of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service in the Chapel.
