Mike S. Gatlin, age 66, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Mike was born on February 9, 1951. He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Marjorie Pulliam Gatlin; brother, Jeff Gatlin; sister, Susan Gatlin.  He retired as a Captain with the Griffin Fire Department in 2006, after 33 years of service. He began his career in 1973, was promoted to Seargant in 1988, Captain in 1991. He loved to fish and was a life member of the Potato Creek Bass Masters.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cindy J. Gatlin; nephews and spouses, Stuart and Ginger Gatlin, Chris and Dawn Gatlin, Kevin and Auska Gatlin, Matt and Paula Jones, Andy and Lauren Jones; mother in law, Joyce Peacock Jones; brothers in law, Richard M. Jones, wife June, Scotty Jones; several great nieces and nephews; special friends, Terry and Debra Connally, John and Anita Mitchell.

A visitation with for Mike S. Gatlin will be on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 12 pm until 1 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
