Miles C. Head

Miles Coleman Head, age 31, of Brooks, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Miles was born in Griffin, Georgia on May 2, 1991.  He was so loved by all that knew him.  After graduating from Whitewater High School, Miles was drafted by Major League Baseball in 2009 by the Boston Red Sox and played with them for 3 years before being traded to the Oakland Athletics.  He retired in 2015.

 Preceding him in death are grandparents, Ray Lisle, and Horace Head Jr. (Norma Head).  He is survived by his wife, Hailey Head,  daughter, Charlie Head, parents Mike and Beverly Head, brothers Michael Head (Janet) and McClain Head (Fiancé, Brittney Baldrica); grandmother, Claudette Lisle,  niece, Kayden Head,  and  many  aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Griffin First Assembly, 2000 W. McIntosh Rd., Griffin, GA.  A Celebration of Life will follow in the church sanctuary. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate.
