Murray Gene Scott

Murray Eugene (Gene) Scott age 87, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Atlanta Medical Center.

Gene was born February 16, 1934 in Brooks, Georgia. His parents, James D. Scott and Lurline Mitchell Scott, wife Dell Scott, and daughter, Debra Belvin all preceded him in death. He was retired from Fayette County. Gene was an Ag Pilot, having earned his pilot's license at the age of 15.  He loved to fly, having been a Crop Duster for 27 years, he also flew fire patrol for the Ga Forestry Commission for 17 years.

Survivors include his children, Sherri Tart, Tim Inglett, and Jeff Inglett; sister, Jane Mask; brothers, George Scott and Joe Scott; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A grave side funeral service will be Monday, July 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Griffin Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
