Mrs. Nancy Etheridge, age 81, of Griffin, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Emory University Hospital.


Mrs. Etheridge was born in Zebulon, Georgia on July 27, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis Grey Rawls and Mary Loura Baker Rawls; husband, William Terrell Etheridge; brother, Dr. Otis Grey Rawls Jr. and grandson, Adam Martin. Mrs. Etheridge was a loving mother, grandmother and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Williamson.

She is survived by children Donna S. Smith and husband, Keith, Michael R. Slade and wife, Suzanne and Melinda S. Lampkin; grandchildren, Jessica S. Willhite and husband Adam, Nicole Harris and husband Brad, Michael R. Slade Jr, Maci Brooke Smith, Kimberly Slade and Bennett A. Lampkin; great grandchildren, Brayden Harris, Ryleigh Harris and Mackenzy Martin; sister, Betty R. Copeland; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Nancy Etheridge will be conducted on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Providence Baptist Church cemetery in Williamson, Georgia. Reverend Ed Lynch will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to American Bible Society, www.americanbible.org or 215-309-0900.
