Nettie “Jane” Phillips, age 82, of Barnesville, GA, passed away at Spalding Regional Hospital in Griffin, GA on February 5, 2020.
Mrs. Jane was born on December 7, 1937 in Alabama. She was married to her husband, Kenneth Bryant Phillips for 46 years. Jane gave birth to eight children; Steve Drummonds (Cathy, Little Steve, Stephanie, and Katie), Jennifer Newton (Merle, Cristy, Catherine, Randy, and Brandy Gayle), Beanitta Drummonds (Stan, Chad, and Tracey), David (Nancy, Little David, and Amy) Darryl Drummonds, John Schooler, Nanjene Ogletree (Kevin, Alan, Tori, Ayden, Jace, Hunter, and Bentley), and Kenneth Phillips (Michelle, Devin, Austin, and Zachary).
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Kenny and her son, Darryl.
Jane worked as a school bus driver for many years before retiring from The Lamar County School System. She loved all of her kids she drove on the bus and loved her job.
Jane was a devoted and loving Nanny to all of her grandkids. She loved them all and loved raising them. She spent most of her life as a mother and grandmother and fully enjoyed the role she was given. Jane loved to spend time with her family and have her loved ones surrounding her.
Family and friends will gather at Jane’s home, 169 Midway Road Barnesville, GA 30204 on Saturday, February 15th at 2 pm.
