Noel Mundy

Mr. Noel Vincent Mundy, Sr., age 76 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020.
Mr. Mundy was born in Alexander, Virginia on August 2, 1943. He is preceeded in death by his parents, Arthur and Pearl Holenback Mundy. Mr. Mundy retired from the United States Marine Corps, having served in the Vietnam War, and received 2 Purple Hearts. He worked for the Department of Corrections for 10 years. Mr. Mundy was a member of Barnesville Church of Nazarene
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Johns Mundy; son, Noel Mundy Jr.; daughter, Karen Foster; step-daughters, Paula Johnson, Pam Melton, Patricia Dew, Faye Rosario, and Tammy Shelton; brothers, Joe Mundy, Mike Mundy, and Kevin Mundy; 38 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.

A family service with military honors will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2020. Burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. Due to the Covid-19 virus a visitation and memorial service will be held at a later date.
