Mrs. Olene Trice Duke, of Griffin, Georgia died Saturday July 8, 2017.
Mrs. Duke was born October 9, 1932, in Pike County, Georgia, daughter of the late Herbert Olen Trice and the late, Nina Kendrick Trice Redd. She was predeceased by her husband, Perry E. Duke; daughter-in-law, Emily L. Duke; and sister, Betty T. Caldwell. Mrs. Duke attended and graduated from Gordon Military College High School class of 1949.

She was a retired Navy Wife of twenty years and a legal secretary for twenty seven years. During this time, she assisted in forming a local chapter of the Legal Secretaries Association and held several offices in the local and state chapters. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin and the Magna Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis E. Duke and Susan S. Duke of Fayetteville, Georgia; Kevin P. Duke and Sherry Duke of Gretna, Virginia. Grandchildren: Clifford P. and Holly Winter Duke of McKinney, Texas; Miles E. Duke of Portland, Oregon: Matthew and Chelsea Duke of Atlanta, Georgia; Katherine and Barry Gaunce of Hampton, Virginia; and Andrea N. Duke of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Catherine R. Cloud of Griffin, Georgia. Great Grandchildren Kieran Duke and Elizabeth Gaunce; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Marilyn Cook.

Friends may visit the family from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Thursday July 13, 2017.
Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM July 13, 2017 in the chapel of Conner Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia. Dr. Bill Hardee will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens.
