Orval R Brittain

Mr. Orval R. Brittain, 87, of Griffin passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Brittain was born in Shamrock, OK on August 27, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Brittain and Anna Mae Brittain; son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Anna Applegate. Mr. Brittain was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Korean War on the USS St. Paul.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Bennett Brittain; son, Scott Applegate; Daughter and Son-in-law, Denise and Mike Kimbell; grandchildren, Brittany & Cody Massey, Matt and Bailey Kimbell, Mitch and Leigh Kimbell, Jake Applegate, Grant Applegate, Andrew Applegate; great grandchildren, Laci Massey, Cameren Massey, Amelia Kimbell, Abby Kate Kimbell, Baylor Kimbell and Bowen Kimbell; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Brightmoor Hospice and Dr. Robert Hall for their loving care.

Visitation for Mr. Orval Brittain will be Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Conner-Westbury; Chaplain Adrien Neely will officiate. Interment will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00 am in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate.
