Oscar D. Cash

Oscar D. Cash, age 77, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital. 

Oscar was born in Griffin on September 2, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rader Watson Cash and Lela Taylor Cash. He had formerly worked for the Federal Reserve, and then retired from Whitney National Bank of New Orleans, Louisiana. Oscar was a member of the American Banking Institute.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, Jim Ethridge; Jim’s children, Laura Cannon and family, Jim Ethridge, Jr. and family; nieces and nephews, Deanna Waldrip and family, Janice Kennedy and family, Mitch Hurt and family, Amanda Imes and family, Melinda Cochran and family, Kimberly Steger and family; and several cousins and friends. 

A graveside service will be Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
