Pastor Jeffery Ronald Newell

Pastor Jeffery Newell age 46 of Griffin, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Jeffery was born in Tacoma, Washington on May 14, 1971. Jeffery had been the children’s pastor at Oak Hill Baptist Church since 2016. Prior to his ministry at Oak Hill Baptist, he served as the children’s pastor for Woodman Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He had a servants heart for all and loved mission work. He truly loved the Lord and worshiping his lord. Jeffery loved his family, enjoyed camping, fishing and motorcycling.

He is survived by his wife Tanya Reser Newell; daughters, Kyra Newell and Jayden Newell; parents, Gary and Lynn Newell of Southern California; brother, Scott and Brandi Newell of Southern California; mother and father in law, Margee and Chad Bacon; father in law, Jim Reser; brother in law, Andy Reser and family; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Oak Hill Baptist Church. Reverend Stephen Dervan will officiate.
