Tribute

Perry Lamar Presley 76, of Griffin, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Griffith Presley and Ruth Langley Presley; sister, Phyllis Presley Moore; brother-in-law, Jack Moore; nephew, Lyn Presley. Perry was retired from Delta Air Lines and cherished his time spent there. If you were connected to Delta in any way, you may as well have been family. Perry was offered, but declined several promotions throughout his career if it meant taking any time away from his family, which was the most important thing to him. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Zebulon. He served as a Teacher and Deacon at various times at different churches. He also served as a boys’ baseball and a girls’ softball coach. Perry enjoyed traveling, woodworking, genealogy, watching golf, Braves baseball and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Presley is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Becky Statham Presley; children, Jeffrey Presley and wife Peggy, Kimberly Presley Trammell and husband Tim; grandchildren, Joshua Presley and wife Holly, Katie Presley Evans and husband Colin, Luke Trammell and Matt Trammell; great-grandsons, Carson Presley, Brady Presley, Max Presley, Camden Evans, Jackson Evans; brother, Reverend Ronald Presley and wife Peggy; special sister-in-law, Joan Gibson; special niece, Amanda Eady; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and a long list of close friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank Suncrest Home Healthcare, Spalding Regional Hospital and Eternal Hope Hospice for their special care during his homegoing.
