Raymond J. Arruda

Mr. Raymond J. Arruda, age 65 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Wellstar Spalding Hospital.

Raymond was born in NewPort, Rhode Island on May 3, 1955. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Roberson and Frances Devito Roberson; sister, Barbara Mahoney.
Mr. Arruda worked for the William Carter Company for 37 years where he was the Lab Technician for the company. He loved his family, enjoyed cooking for his family, he loved seafood and through his career with Carters he traveled extensively.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Marshall Arruda; children and their spouses, Jason and Lyndsay Arruda, Stacey Arruda and fiancé Michael, David and Darya Arruda; grandchildren, Jonathan and McKenzie Mitchell, Morgan Arruda, Kelsey Jaquess and fiancé Kayla, McKayla Arruda, Abigayle Arruda, Laila Spence, Connor Arruda, Quinn Arruda; Kameron Jaquess, Emersyn Milstein; sister, Julia Mahoney, Shirley Sullivan; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Arruda’s wishes were to be cremated and a family memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the family’s residence, 54 Whatley Rd. Griffin, Georgia 30223.
