Raymond O'Neal Ledbetter

Raymond Ledbetter, born July 7, 1931 as a child of God and who lived 89 years on this earth as a man of faith was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, September 8, 2020, surrounded by family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his wife Joyce of 63 years; daughters Sandra Ledbetter and Cynthia Owens; granddaughters, Michelle (Stephen) Brown and Laurie (Jimmy) Jennings; great-grandchildren, Donavan, Leigh-Ann, Jonothan, Blake, Samantha, and Jacob; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Many will remember “Pop” as a hard-working family man with a heart full of love, a mind full of stories to tell, and a caring internal clock that always had time for others. At his core, he was a man who whole heartedly believed in a God of Hope, of Peace, of answered Prayers, and of Eternal Life. He shared his Christian walk with his loving wife, Joyce, always by his side. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Sandra and Cynthia. Through the Gospel and living by example, they instilled value of love, service, forgiveness, trust, and humility into the hearts and minds of their children. Pop watched with delight as these values were passed from his children, to his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. For Raymond, having a family living a joyous Christ-centered life would be his greatest accomplishment.
When relaxing, Pop enjoyed fellowship with his comrades at Impact Christian Ministries, a community outreach of Rock Springs Church, that strives to help those less fortunate and/or who are in need due to circumstances beyond their control. Like Raymond, who served in the United States Airforce as Airmen 3rd class during the Korean War, many are saluted patriots of this great Nation.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Impact Christian Ministries at 115 W Solomon Street, Griffin, GA 30224. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a memorial donation to Impact Christian Ministries.
