Richard "Ricky" Wayne Sosebee, Jr.

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Wayne Sosebee, Jr. age 43, of Flovilla, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Martha B. Griffin; brother, Robert “Robby” Sosebee; fiancé, Cathy Moczarny and her sons, Joshua Chandler, Dylan Chandler; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 18, 1976. His father, Richard Wayne Sosebee and his maternal and paternal grandparents all preceded him in death. Ricky was a 1995 graduate of Henry County High School, a graduate of Dekalb Technical College with an automotive degree. He has been employed as a heavy truck mechanic for the City of Atlanta for the past 19 years. Ricky has always been active in the Boys Scout of America, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and eventually became a Scout Master of that troop. He was elected into the Order of the Arrow as Brotherhood. He was appointed Unit Commissioner and Health Safety Officer. He was known for his beautiful craft items. Ricky enjoyed making model trains and cars. He loved animals, fishing and hunting.

Visitation for Ricky Sosebee will be Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, August 12, 2019 at noon in the chapel of Conner-Westbury. Pastor Leacky Tyson will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Park, 2000 Marietta Blvd, Atlanta, Ga.
