Robert Van Collins

Robert Van Collins, age 66, of Griffin passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Robert was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on August 15, 1955.  He is preceded in death by his father, Garland Collins; and brother, Mark Collins. He retired from Windstream Communications after 32 years of service. After retirement, he drove the trolley at Tanger Outlet for 5 years where he was affectionately known as "Trolley Rob." 

Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather (better known as "Pop"). He went on many Bigfoot hunts, roasted many hotdogs and was always happy to have a Grandkid climb into his chair with him.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Collins, son, Brandon (Caitlin) Collins, daughter, Jessica Collins; grandchildren, Vince Collins, Wyatt Collins, Dean Collins, James Snow, Sadie Snow; mother, Betty Collins; brother, Andy (Julie) Collins; and several nephews and great-nieces. 

Visitation for Mr. Collins will be Monday, July 25, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow in the Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gene Luke.
