Robert “Bob” Franklin Flewellen, age 80, of Griffin, Georgia passed away, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Ridgeview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, Alabama.
Bob was born November 1, 1940 in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Taft and Elizabeth McGhee Flewellen. Bob was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed by the University of Georgia as a Research Scientist. Bob enjoyed the outdoors including camping, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Gail Adams; sons, Bert Flewellen (Jennifer), Jeremy Rabuck (Maggie), Zack Rabuck; grandchildren, Emily, Sydney, and Taylor Flewellen, Victoria and Jay Rabuck; sister, Marbeth Butler (Larry); and loyal companions, Charlee and Precious.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at 3:00pm. Pastor Mark James will officiate.
