Reverend Robert Harold Watts, age 86 of Madison, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020.
Reverend Watts was born in Molena, Georgia on December 2, 1933. He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman Harold Watts and Lena Bell Riggins Watts; and his wife, Runette Cook Watts. Reverend Watts was a retired Baptist minister, formerly pastoring, Hill Grove Baptist Church, Guston, KY, McIntosh Baptist Church, Griffin, GA, Second Baptist Church, Jackson, GA, Northern Heights Baptist Church, Cordele, GA, Memphis Baptist Church, Dathan, AL. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church, in Good Hope GA.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Scott Sardonia; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Delene Watts; grandchildren and their spouses, Leigh Ellen and Jordan Magness, Lindsey Watts, Kristen Alred Wheelock and Steve Wheelock, Matthew and Katarina Steger; great grandchildren, Hudson Magness, Rhodes Magness, Smith Baiad, Ethan Wheelock, Oliver Steger, Penelope Steger, Zander Schmer-Lalama; sister, Norma Griffith Hansen; sister-in-law Barbara Cook; nephews Jeff Griffith, Randy Griffith, and James Cook.
A visitation will be Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Dr. Ron Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
