Mr. Roger Wendell Snyder, age 66 of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at WellStar Spalding Hospital.
Roger was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on August 24, 1953. He is preceded in death by his father, William Junior Snyder; brother, William D Snyder. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs in 1971 and received his Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked in the Banking industry for over 30 years. Roger was a loving husband and father. He was an avid member of the Griffin Gun Club, served as a youth coach for shotgun sports. He attended Christ Chapel in Zebulon.
Survivors include his wife, Tanya Snyder; children, Jacob Snyder and wife Nancy, Jared Snyder and wife Brittany; mother, Joan Rater Snyder; step-grandchildren Austin and Bryce; sisters, Linda Koch and husband Tim, Carol Larsen and husband Steve; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, with a funeral service following in the Chapel. Reverend Billy Smith will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Griffin Gun Club, 550 Amelia Rd, Griffin, GA 30223 in honor or Mr. Roger Snyder.
