Rosa Sereathy Smith, age 81, of Griffin, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Rosa was born in Georgia on September 10, 1937. She is preceded in death by parents, Simon Nobles and Julia Waggoner Nobles, husband, Atwood Cecil Worthy Smith, children, Jo Ann and Elizabeth Smith; 5 brothers, Morgan, George, Joe, Claude and Marion Nobles; 2 sisters, Mini Lee Richardson and Florence Morris. She retired from Publix as an Apron Cook. Rosa also volunteered at hospice to help others in their time of need. She embraced family and attended Holiness Tabernacle Church.
Survivors include children and their spouses, Judy & Charles Norton of Milledgeville, Sharon McBryar of Milner, Cecil & Vickie Smith of Griffin, Donna & Rev. Kevin “Sonny” Dense of Idabel, OK, Tony & Christina Smith of Conyers; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Marie and Johnny Tucker; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The visitation for Rosa Sereathy Smith will be Monday, March 4, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Nathan Hewatt will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens.
