Roswell “Gene” Daniel age 70, of Griffin passed away March 5, 2023.
Gene was born in Griffin, on December 17, 1952. He was a graduate of Griffin High School, and attended Clayton Junior College and the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Turf Management. He most recently worked with Buck Jones Nursery and Garden Center where his knowledge of plants and trees assisted many customers. He was a talented painter and enjoyed playing the piano.
Gene was the son of Martha Daniel of Griffin and the late James Lyndon Daniel, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Joey Roberts, Sarah and Steven Brabham, and Rachael and Cody Segal; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Roberts, Micah Roberts, Leah Roberts, Haynes Brabham, Reid Brabham, Owen Brabham, Cade Brabham, Levi Segal and Everly Segal, all of Tallahassee, FL; three brothers, Jim Daniel of Bishop, GA, Jerry Daniel of Griffin, and Jackson Daniel of Forsyth; loving aunts, Annette Smith of Laramie, WY, and Jane Pullin of Griffin, and a stepson, Seth McKinney of Chatsworth, GA.
A visitation for Gene Daniel will be Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 10:30 am until 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 West McIntosh Road, Griffin.
