Mr. Roy Harold Polk age 88, of Griffin, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Mr. Polk was born in Jackson, Georgia on August 31, 1929. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Chester Polk and Willie Lee Byars Polk; brothers, Dois, Hyrom, Virgil, Clarence, Jeptha, Lamar, Glen, Larry, Robert Polk, sisters, Edna Perkins, Ruby Davis, Rebecca Bishop, Virginia Shedd, Betty Norton; former wives, Elizabeth Gunn, Mary Polk Nichols. He was retired from Thomaston Mills, was a farmer and loved fishing. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by children, Deborah and Rickey Killingsworth, Cathy and Jimmy Bunn, Mike and Connie Polk, Katrina Lyle; grandchildren, Brandy and Bob Gordon, Brandon Polk, Crystal and Chris Taylor, Jennifer and Brad Perkins, Kelli Floyd, Rodney Killingsworth, Ava Lyle; great- grandchildren, Caitlyn Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Connor Taylor, Chloe Taylor, Emmy Perkins, Jake Perkins, Zach Harmon, Amber Harmon; siblings and in-laws, Weyman and Bebe Polk, Brenda and Richard Fisher, Jean Tolleson, Charlotte Busbee; Nell Polk, Patsy Polk, George Shedd; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express many thanks to Leanne Ortiz, a great caregiver and loved by us all, especially Daddy.
A visitation for Roy H. Polk will be on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. E.C. Chatham and Pastor Rob Rhew will officiate. Interment will follow at Westwood Gardens.
