Ruth Danette McBrayer, age 66 of Waverly Hall, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
Danette was born on February 24, 1955 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother, Ruth Murphy McBrayer, and her brother, Jack Lewis McBrayer, both preceded her in death. Danette enjoyed spending time with her beloved cats, Tinka and Buster, and attending the Music Barn on Saturdays, but enjoyed her family the most - especially family reunions with all the food and fellowship. She loved her church family, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in the small town of Raymond, GA (Newnan).
Survivors include her son, Paul Albert Yearwood; her father, Jack Dempsey McBrayer; sister-in-law, Jan Cowart McBrayer; nieces and nephew, Jaybrena M. Passmore (Robby), Jarrison A. McBrayer (Melanie), and Janee’ A. Galyon (Matthew); as well as nine great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the Chapel. Interment will be at Brooks Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Bryan Calhoun of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate.
