Ruth B. Storey

Mrs. Ruth Brinkley Storey, age 91 of Griffin, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Mrs. Storey was born in Blue Ridge, Georgia on December 26, 1927. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruby Brinkley; husband, Samuel D. “Slim” Storey; son-in-law, Wayne Smith; grandson-in-law, Dale Stuckey. She retired from Best Manufacturing and was a member of Orchard Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Tinley and husband Jack, Ginny Smith, Chris Barineau and husband John; grandchildren, Dayna Stuckey, Paul Smith and wife Denise; Jack Tinley, III and wife Kim, Abby Underwood and husband Gary; great-grandchildren, Madison Stuckey, Daulton Smith, Jaiden Smith, Hunter Tinley, Austin Parris; sister, Catherine Stribich; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Ruth B. Storey will be Wednesday, February 27, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be in the Chapel. Reverend Nelson Grist will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery
