Scott Garland

Mr. Scott D. Garland, age 76, of Griffin passed away, Friday April 13, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Garland was born in Maine on February 24, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, David P. and Pauline H. Garland; son, Joel Garland, brother, Clyde Garland. Scott was a former member of Griffin First Assembly, and was a member of Relevant Church in Locust Grove. Scott was Real Estate Agent with Murray Company, a life member of Million Dollar Club and several other Real Estate Organizations.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bates Garland; children, Jay Garland and wife Maureen, Angela Munson and husband David, Tonya Nelms and husband Butch, Julie Nichols and husband Carl; several grandchildren among them Sheldon Nelms and wife Ashleigh, Morgan Williams and husband Austin, Jase Nichols, Trey Nichols, and Cassie Parks and husband, Chris.

Visitation for Scott D. Garland will be Sunday from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Conner-Westbury. Funeral service will be on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Relevant Church, P. O. Box 690, Locust Grove, Georgia 30248 in memory of Scott.
