Shirley Dannell Carter

Mrs. Shirley Dannell Carter, age 68 of Griffin. passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mrs. Carter was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 24, 1950. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Francis Carter; parents, Alfred Lee Smith and Loette N. Steger Smith.

Survivors include her two sons and spouses, Scott and Betty Jo Hindman, Chris and Christy Hindman; grandchildren Joseph Hindman and wife Brittany, Josh Hindman, Ashton Hindman and wife Hanna; Summer Hindman; great-grandchildren Chayden Hindman and Oakley Hindman; brother Wayne Smith and wife Janet; several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Mrs. Carter will be Monday, April 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury. Reverend Greg Marsh will officiate. Interment will follow at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
