Mrs. Shirley M. Shockley, age 70 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Shockley was born in Albany, Georgia on August 16, 1950. Her husband, Richard Shockley, parents, Vandy and Ruby Musgrove, sister, Patricia Musgrove and son in-law, Shannon McLemore all preceded her in death. She retired after 37 years as secretary at Center Point Church, where she was a member of Intercessory Prayer Group; after her retirement she worked as a paralegal for the Dinoff Law Group.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristy McLemore, son, Chad and his wife Amanda Shockley, grandchildren, Alex McLemore, Lanie McLemore, Mackenze Knuth, D.J. Knuth, Trenton Angel, and Baxter; siblings, Dorothy Goodwin and her husband Warner, Vernon Musgrove, Ronnie Musgrove and his wife Rose, Raymond Musgrove and his wife Tilda, and Jerry Musgrove and his wife Kay; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Center Point Church. A funeral service will be Friday, April 2, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Center Point Church. Reverend Kristy McLemore, Reverend Thomas L. Powell, Reverend Mark Davenport and Reverend Amy Reems will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery
