Dr. Spencer Robert Frye, Sr., age 70, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. 

Spencer was born in Concord, North Carolina on July 21, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Coleman Frye, Sr. and Lucy Roberts Frye; his brother, Charles Coleman Frye, Jr. Dr. Frye was a veteran of the United States Army having served as a Captain during the Vietnam War. He was a former Associate Pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi, Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Griffin, Georgia and Senior Pastor of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Morrow, Georgia.
    
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherri P. Frye; sons, Spencer Robert Frye, Jr. and his wife, Gretchen; Erich Joseph Frye and his wife, Jane; grandchildren, Collin Morgan Frye, Spencer Robert Frye, III, Ruby Lucille Frye, Aaron Seth Cox.

A memorial service for Dr. Spencer Frye, Sr., will be conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Bill Lawrence and Pastor Buren Goss will officiate.
