Stephen Leroy “Steve” Waldrop, age 66 of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019.
Steve was born January 3, 1953, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father Ernest Bill Waldrop and brother Mitchell Waldrop. He loved spending time outdoors, coaching and playing sports, time with family and friends spinning yarns, and quality bacon cheeseburgers.
He was a strong man who lost a long battle and is survived by his similarly strong wife, Suzette Waldrop; strong-willed daughters Angela Waldrop Gilbert, Alice Leigh Waldrop, Bonnie Nicole Cato, Cassandra Waldrop, his cherished grandchildren Alyssa Skye Cato, Kennedy Rose Cato and Dillon Kole Cato; his fierce and loving mother, Ethel Waldrop; loyal brothers and sister (Billy, Danny, Joe, Paul, and Terry Waldrop, Debbie Harper), as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation for Stephen Leroy “Steve” Waldrop will be Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend John Nance will officiate.
