Mr. Steven “Donnie” Newman, Jr. age 27 of Williamson passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017 from injuries sustained an automobile crash in Barrow County.
Mr. Newman was born in Austell, Georgia on August 21, 1989. He is preceded in death by three infant children; maternal grandfather Bob Barnett; paternal grandparents Donald and Joan Newman and his Grandfather in-law James T. Dillard. Mr. Newman was employed as a salesman for Lincare Medical Supply Company. He will be remembered for being a loving father, wonderful husband and loyal like no other to his family. Donnie had a sport overload and it did not matter what sport it was. Donnie’s favorite quote was “We are not just a church, We are a family!”
He is survived by his wife Kassie Wise-Newman; son Kasen Dean Newman; parents Steven and Lisa Newman, Sr. of Griffin; sister Kristian and her husband Dwayne Thomason of Cartersville; brother Andrew Michael Newman of Griffin; grandmother Shirley and her husband Terry Douglas of Mableton, Georgia; father and mother in-law Carl and Gina Wise of Williamson; maternal grandmother in-law Mary Dillard of Milledgeville, Georgia; brother in-law Tony Betts of Adele, GA; sister in-law Shannon Boland of Ashburn, Georgia; aunt’s Robin Weymueller of Griffin and Aunt Lisa Martin; cousins Jacob Martin, Daniel Martin and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Steven Donald Newman, Jr. will be on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Kenneth Horton will officiate. Interment will follow at Westwood Memorial Gardens, Griffin. Memorials can be made in Donnie’s memory to United Bank for a savings fund that has been established for his son Kason Dean Newman.
