Sue Underwood Gosman

Mrs. Elsie “Sue” Underwood Gosman, age 80 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence. Sue was born in Lifsey Springs, Georgia on November 8, 1941. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus H. Underwood and Jimmie Lou Alford Underwood; sister’s, Blanch Fisher, Mae Hendricks, Elizabeth Morris, Grace Balou; Brother’s, Charlie Underwood, Bobby Underwood, and Warren Alford “WA” Underwood. She previously worked for Super X Drugs and Clarks Food. She loved gardening, watching butterflies and collecting angels.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Gosman; children, Alita Borguez (Alfonzo), Michael Gosman, Kenneth Gosman, Pamela Gosman and a Special Grandson Matthew Gosman; 10 more grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Underwood; sister, Mary Killingsworth; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral home. A Funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home with Reverend John Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
