Sue Purser Martin

Sue Purser Martin, age 79 of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 after a brief illness.

Sue was born November 23, 1941 in Griffin, Georgia. She is preceded in death by parents, Phillip Jack Purser and Lillian Chapman Purser; son, Gregory Lawson Martin; siblings, Cleo Street, Don Purser, Harold Purser and Phillip Purser. Sue retired from the Spalding County Sheriff’s office after serving for 25 years as a sheriff’s deputy.

Survivors include children, Timothy Phillip Martin, wife Amy and granddaughter, Sloan Alexandria Martin; son, Lee Howard Martin and wife, Stephanie; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation for Sue P. Martin will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery following the service.
