Taylor Leon English

Mr. Taylor Leon English, age 82 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mr. English was born in Lamar County on April 13, 1937. He is preceded in death by his parents, Taylor Hiram English and Pearline Cook English, and first wife Betty Lavine English. Taylor English was the owner of Leon’s BBQ in Griffin, Georgia for forty years. He was also a member of Rock Springs Church.
Mr. English is survived by his wife Therissa English; daughter Kristina Kim Ash; son Taylor J. English; grandchild Taylor Elizabeth Lewis; great grandchild Henry Noon Lewis; sister Lillian Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Rock Springs Church. Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church’s cemetery.
