Mr. Thomas Michael Halley, age 73 of Griffin, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. Halley was born in Huntington, West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil Thomas Halley and Juanita Powers Halley. He was a member of Griffin First United Methodist Church and also a member of the Dunkers Sunday School Class. Mr. Halley received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio, and went on to Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio where he received his Master’s Degree. Mr. Halley worked in human resources for 38 years and retired as the Director of Human Resources for Koch Industries.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Theresa Hayes Halley; sister Susan Mitchell and her husband Bill of Yellow Springs, Ohio; sister-in-law Sue Fallin and her husband Durwood of Greenville, South Carolina; brother-in-law Mark Hayes and his wife Nancy of Americus, Georgia. Mr. Halley did not have children of his own, however, he adored his nieces, nephew and their families as his own.
Mr. Halley’s request was to be cremated and a private family graveside service will be conducted with his cremains to be buried at South View Cemetery, Thomaston, Georgia. Rev. Dusty Raines will officiate. Memorials in Mr. Halley’s honor can be made to the Griffin First United Methodist Church or the Dunkers Sunday School Class.
