Taylor R. Burel

Taylor Burel, age 13, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.

Taylor was born in Griffin, Georgia on September 11, 2007. He attended the Orchard Hill Baptist Church, was a 7th grade student at Cowan Road Middle School.

He is survived by his father, John Burel; mother Valeria Cartette; sisters, Abigail Williams, Samantha Burel; brother, Nicholas Williams; grandparents, Gail and Moon Mullins, Delisa Burch, Randy Crane and a host of extended family.

Text from Taylor to his father on March 4, 2021 at 11:24 am:
"Hey Dad I know your not feeling well today so I wanted to bring a little happiness to you by saying, I love you and I will see you in a few hours. I hope you feel better soon and I hope I can help you I know you might not see this until we get home but if you do see this before you get home just know I love you and hope you feel better and I wish I could help you.
I am a student of Griffin-Spalding County Schools, and I am daring to do better!"

Visitation for Taylor will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Frank Winfrey will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The funeral service will also be lived streamed.
