Thomas "Tom" Carl Lindgren

Tom Lindgren, resident of Sun City Peachtree, in Griffin, GA passed away on November 6, 2022, after a short but courageous battle against an aggressive form of cancer. Born May 11, 1949, in Bozeman, Montana, he was the son of the late Carl Robert Lindgren and LaVonne Thomas Lindgren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Victoria Lindgren. Tom was an active, faithful member of Christ Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Tom was extremely industrious, a trait he learned from his hard-working family. As a young person, Tom worked in his family’s business cleaning, stocking, repairing, and helping in the kitchen. Beloved husband of Dr. Katherine S. Lindgren, Tom was the proud father of Christopher T. Lindgren (Megan), Scott A. Lindgren (Lisa), Jean Ann Lindgren, and stepfather to Michael P. Davis (Pam) and Jonathon Bradley Davis. He was the delighted grandfather of Everly Lindgren, Pascale Lindgren, Emily Lindgren, Micah Lindgren, Eddie Lindgren, Julia Davis, Katherine Davis, and William Davis.

Upon graduating from Washington State University, he obtained his pharmacy license and was a Director of Pharmacy at several large hospitals. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Upon retirement, Tom traveled the world visiting six of seven continents. Tom was an avid Bridge player, cyclist, and rower.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. Reverend Joseph M. Warnke will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Thomas Carl Lindgren to Christ Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Griffin, GA.
